2023.11.20 [Screw Rescue Report] Track and Field Spike Shoes

This report documents Screw Rescue from a customer in the Higashi-Sumiyoshi Ward of Osaka City in the Kansai region, Japan.

★ Issue Description:

"The spikes on my track and field shoes (ASICS EFFORTMK) won't come off. I used to easily remove them with a Nejusaurus (Screw Removal Pliers), but this time, no matter what I tried, I couldn't get them off. I attempted various methods myself, but it ended up making the situation worse. If you have any advice, please let me know."

★ Work Log:

After coordinating a suitable time for the customer to visit, the Screw Rescue Team initiated the operation.

The first spike was removed using the Nejisaurus RX (Product Code: PZ-59).

The second spike was more firmly stuck, so using the Vice-saurus (Product Code: PZ-65), we securely locked the spike pin and, with the Pumpla-saurus (Product Code: PZ-63), applied torque near the jaws of PZ-65 to successfully remove it.

"The shoes belong to a 3rd-year junior high school student, and we need to get them ready for the last competition before his graduation in one week. We hope for outstanding performance in the upcoming race with revived spikes and expectations. 🦖"

2023.11.17 [Screw Rescue Report] Electrical Component Screw

This report is a Screw Rescue record from a customer in Yame District, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan.

★Issue Description:

"I cannot remove the M6 pan head screw. This screw is stuck, and I cannot disassemble the electrical component. I am unable to work well because I don't want to deform or damage this part. So, I contacted you."

★Work Log:

Immediately, the actual item was sent to our company, and the Screw Rescue Team began the operation.

★Method and Customer Appreciation:

The screw was tightly tightened, but with the combination of the Nejisaurus Bazooka (Part Number: DBZ-51) and epoch-making screwdriver grip GT Drive (Part Number: DZ-70), the rescue was a success! 

By utilizing a spanner to the bolster (across flats 13mm) of the GT Drive and turning, it generated a higher torque for successful extraction.

2023.11.15 [Screw Rescue Report] Reel (Shimano Scorpion)

This report is a Screw Rescue record from a customer in Uji City, Kyoto, in the Kansai region of Japan.

★ Issue Details

"The screws of my fishing reel (Shimano Scorpion 300XG LH) got stripped. I came across information on the internet that someone who had the same problem received help from your company using the Nejisaurus series. If I can grub the screw head with your Nejisaurus (So called Screw Removal Pliers), it would be great. Unfortunately, the screw head is under the surface, and it can't reach the head. I would appreciate support."

Based on the damaged screw photos, a prototype Nejusaurus Mogura (So called Socket Screw Extractor) and a unique screwdriver handle DZ-70 were sent. The customer attempted the repair by himself...

2023.10.04 [Screw Rescue Report] Spinning Reel (Shimano Stella SW)

This report is a Screw Rescue record from a customer in Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan.

★ Issue

"The head of one screw inside a Shimano Stella SW reel is broken. The purpose is to overhaul the reel. When I contacted the manufacturer's maintenance service, they informed me that they are very busy, and even after a month, they haven't started the repair yet. I had no choice but to seek assistance."

★ Work Log

"When I disassembled it, the screw's head was already missing. It is highly likely that the previous owner is the cause. After researching online, it seems that a thread-locker might have been used in that area. I would like to send it to your company for repair. Please help me." We received this email and, under the watchful eye of Urus-kun, the Screw Rescue Team started an emergency operation.

★ Method

We used a range of tools in development to remove the screw and make a new thread by tapping, fixing the issue.

2023.09.30 [Screw Rescue Report] GoPro

This report documents a Screw Rescue action from a customer in Horinouchi, Suginami-ku, Tokyo.

★ Issue Description

"I tried to remove the screws to replace parts on my GoPro HERO11, but the quality of the included screwdriver was poor, and both the screw holes and the screwdriver itself got damaged. I attempted to use tools from another company (a stripped precision screw remover), but it didn't work well and the situation worsened."

★ Work Log & Method

Upon receiving the device, the Screw Rescue Team, with "Urus-kun" watching over, performed an emergency operation.

It appeared that tools from another company had been used, which had exacerbated the problem. However, using a trick with two Super Short Socket Screw Extractors (part numbers: DBZ-310, DBZ-315), we successfully extracted all three screws.
