This is a Screw Rescue Report from a customer in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, in the Tokai region of Japan.
★ Issue Description:
"I accidentally submerged my rechargeable multi-tool, causing it to rust. As a result, the bolts have seized up and cannot be removed. I am sending the actual item to you. Could you please help me remove this screw? The screw head is covered by a flange, making it impossible to grip. It seems that both the screw and the flange are stuck together. I've tried the following methods but to no avail, and I'm unsure how to remove this screw:
Tried to remove it with a hex key, but the screw is too hard and won't budge.
Injected CRC 5-56 and tapped the screw with a rubber mallet, but it still won't come loose.
Left it soaked in CRC 5-56 overnight, but the situation remains unchanged.
Tried soaking it in a rust remover, but it didn't help, and the screw head became slightly stripped.
Tried heating it with a gas burner, but it didn't work either.
That's the situation."
★ Work Log:
We promptly received the item and the Screw Rescue Team initiated the operation. With the combination of the Neji-Mogura DBZ-450 (So called Socket Screw Extractor) and GT Drive of epoch-making screwdriver grip (Part No: DZ-70), we were able to easily remove the screw. Six interns happened to be visiting the company for an internship, and they witnessed the process of removing the screw firsthand.
★ Customer Appreciation:
"We would like to express our gratitude for your assistance. We have received the item and confirmed its condition. We were amazed to see the screw, which was so stubborn before, now removed! It was truly impressive! Today, while visiting the hardware store (Home Canter), we came across a demonstration of the Neji-saurus (Screw Removal Pliers), and once again, we were amazed. Who knew the Neji-saurus could grip screws so easily! At the moment, we have no difficulties, but we purchased one just in case of emergencies. Thank you very much for your help this time, and we will definitely consult you if we encounter any more stubborn screws in the future." We received this delightful message π¦
