"When I install a lift assist, I needed to remove the Torx screw on the tailgate, but it was extremely tight and ended up getting completely stripped. Is there any way I can remove this screw? "

2023.06.14 [Screw Resue Report] Stripped hexagon socket screw on the front caul of motorcycle

Received an SOS about a stripped hexagon socket screw on the front cowl of a motorcycle, originating from Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, located in the western part of Japan.

"I tried to remove the wind protector attached underneath the under bracket, but unfortunately ended up stripping the hex socket screw. I've also tried chemical agents like Screw Grab, but there seems to be no way to loosen the screw at all. Due to the limited space and difficulty in visualizing the screw, it's difficult to apply force. I would greatly appreciate any advice or assistance you can provide."

2023.06.13 [Screw Removal Report] Stripped screws on the air gun

Received an SOS about a stripped screw on an airsoft gun from Osaka City in western Japan.

"I have two stripped screws on the slide parts. I tried drilling and using the left-hand thread screws to remove them, but I couldn't solve the problem. Is there any way to remove them?"

Upon checking the image, the screws were severely stripped, the customer sent the actual item, and the Scrwe Rescue Team attempted promptly. Finally, we were able to successfully remove it using the Neji-saurus Mogura (Socket Screw Extractor).

2023.06.12 [Screw Rescue Report] Stripped screws on the tailgate of HILUX

 We received an SOS from Amagasaki City in Hyogo Prefecture, western Japan, regarding a stripped screw on a Hilux tailgate.

"I was trying to install a tailgate lift assist and ended up stripping the original Torx screw while removing it. I tried using a chisel and hammer to remove it, but it didn't work. I also broke a drill bit from another company's screw extractor and it got stuck inside... I need some help to resolve this."

After checking the provided photos, we conducted a response Q&A session and urgently dispatched a set of two sizes of Neji-saurus Mogura (Socket Screw Extractor). We also included videos on how to use the Mogura, as well as shared previous rescue case examples.

2023.06.11 [Screw Rescue Report] Broken screws on the motorcycle frame

Receiving SOS about a screw stuck in the frame of a motorcycle from Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, located in the western part of Japan.

"I have a situation where a screw broke inside the frame of my motorcycle and got stuck. I'm considering asking for help to remove the screw, but it is a part of the motorcycle frame and cannot be removed and sent. Would it be possible for me to bring in the motorcycle and have the work done?"

After adjusting the schedule, he visited our office.

The motorcycle he purchased from an auction site had several damages, and the broken screw he requested assistance with was one of them. The screws that hold the black cowl on the upper part of the frame were broken on both sides.

The broken screws were completely stuck, and there was a possibility of deformation inside.

The real hero at this time was the ratchet drive (DZ-50).

By drilling a pilot hole and using a hexagonal shaft tap, we were able to create a new screw thread.

We successfully installed the cowl with the new screws.

Received an SOS from Itabashi Ward, Tokyo, reporting that the screws on a Hilux's cargo bed had stripped.

After checking the provided photos, we urgently shipped the Neji-saurus Mogura (Socket Screw Extractor) to him.
