2022.05.21 [Screw Rescue Report]Stripped screws on Hilux tailgate

 We received an SOS message from a customer in Yachiyo City, Chiba Prefecture, regarding the stripped screws on the tailgate of their Hilux.

"I was trying to attach a part to the tailgate and ended up stripping one of the two Torx(R) screws. I heard that these screws are famous for very tight and tend to strip, so I was being cautious. The remaining screw feels like it has Threadlocker on it, making it difficult to deal with once it's stripped..."

After conducting a Screw Rescue meeting while checking the photos he provided, we urgently dispatched a set of large and small prototypes of the Neji-saurus Mogura (Prototype of Socket Screw Extractor sets).

2023.05.20 [SCREW RESCUE REPORT] Stripped screws on Nintendo switch joycon cover

 SOS Received from a Customer in Kyoto Prefecture: Nintendo Switch screws were stripped!

"I am having trouble extracting two screws on the cover of the Joy-Con for my Nintendo Switch. I tried to extract them with a 1.5mm Y-shaped screwdriver, but they got stripped."

He shipped the Joy-Con to our office in Osaka, and the Screw Rescue  Team started an emergency operation.

2022.05.19 [Screw Rescue Report] The screws on the side mirror of the car door are stripped and won't come off!

 Received an SOS from a customer in Yamaguchi Prefecture who couldn't remove the screws of the car door mirror storage motor.

"I managed to remove two of the screws myself, but the remaining four have their heads stripped. The heads of the screws are inside the holes, making it impossible to grab them with tools. Upon inspecting the screws that I was able to extract, it seems like Threadlocker has been applied. Applying excessive force might cause damage to the gears inside the storage motor."

Based on the pictures sent, we provided a guide with videos on how to use the Neji-saurus GT Drive DZ-71 (Go-through Driver Handle DZ-71), Neji-saurus Mogura DBZ-63 and the trick (Socket Screw Extractor DBZ-63 and the trick), and the new product Neji-saurus GTV PZ-77 (Screw Removal Pliers PZ-77).

2023.05.18 [Screw Rescue Report] A broken hex bolt on the motorcycle side rail.

 Received an SOS from a customer in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan, stating that he had broken the head of a hex bolt on his motorcycle's side rail.

"It happened while I was tightening the side rail... I got carried away and tightened it too forcefully, resulting in this failure. I was completely dumbfounded."

Upon checking the photos sent by him, we noticed that the broken bolt tip protruded a few millimeters. This was a perfect opportunity to recommend the Neji-saurus (Scerw Removal Pliers), which can grip and extract such bolts. I suggested a few different options.

2023.05.17 [Screw Rescue Report] Stripped screws on NINTENDO 3DS

 SOS received from the customer in Kobe City: Nintendo 3DS screw is stripped.

The left D-pad (directional pad) has been damaged, and while attempting to remove the back cover for repair, the screw got stripped. 

I tried turning it with a driver while placing a rubber band between the driver and the screw, but it only made the situation worse.

The customer sent his 3DS to our office, and the Screw Rescue Team started an emergency operation.

2023.05.16 [Screw Rescue Report] Stripped Torx (R) screws for the SUV door stabilizer

 We received an SOS from a customer in Yamagata Prefecture, Torx (R) screw on their SUV's door stabilizer had stripped.

 I received an SOS from Saitama that the Torx (R) screw of a car door stabilizer had stripped.
