★ Issue

"The head of one screw inside a Shimano Stella SW reel is broken. The purpose is to overhaul the reel. When I contacted the manufacturer's maintenance service, they informed me that they are very busy, and even after a month, they haven't started the repair yet. I had no choice but to seek assistance."

"When I disassembled it, the screw's head was already missing. It is highly likely that the previous owner is the cause. After researching online, it seems that a thread-locker might have been used in that area. I would like to send it to your company for repair. Please help me." 2023.10.02 [Screw Rescue Report] Dyson Vacuum Screw

This report documents a Screw Rescue operation conducted for a customer in Ōgawamachi, Saitama Prefecture, in the Kanto region of Japan.

★ Issue Description

The customer attempted to change the vacuum cleaner's battery after three years, and while trying to remove the last three screws, it became stripped. The other two screws were successfully removed, but in the process of attempting to loosen the last one, it was damaged beyond repair. Despite using a screw extraction solution, the screw's threads were further damaged, making it impossible to grip due to the shallowness of the grooves.
