★Work Log:

We provided the customer with a Socket Screw Extractor DBZ-400 series with DZ-70 and they visited our office. They attempted the work themselves, and...

★Method and Customer Appreciation:

"Good evening. Thank you for your help today. I tried the tool I borrowed right away and was able to remove the screw. Thank you. I could solve it with the prototype tool I borrowed initially."

The next day, when they returned the tool, they mentioned, "When I actually turned the screw during the work, I found that the 7:3 technique of pushing and turning was very effective." This is a crucial point.

For any future screw troubles, please don't hesitate to contact the Screw Rescue Team!

Advice from the Staff of ENGINEER INC.

The issue of screws being stripped when removed by the general public is generally attributed to the following reasons:

1: Mismatch between the screw size and the screwdriver's Phillips head.

2: Turning the screw to the left without applying much downward force when removing it.

The solutions are:

1: Always match the screw size and the screwdriver's drive size. (Mismatch is the most common cause of stripping the screw)

2: As mentioned in the article, be conscious of the 7:3 pushing-to-turning force and rotate the screwdriver to the left.

If these measures still don't work, our company's tools can often resolve the issue. So, please consider utilizing the chatbot to select the most suitable Screw Removal tools.

This Screw Rescue report is by a customer in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan.

Issue Description:

The customer attempted to install a door stabilizer on his Daihatsu Hi-Jet Jumbo, but encountered difficulties. While working on it, he accidentally rendered the first screw unusable. He was successful in installing the stabilizer on the right side door, but the issue arose on the left side door. The customer, who is an amateur and not used to automotive maintenance, is seeking guidance on how to remove the stripped screw.

Work Log:

Based on the photographs of the damaged screw, we provided a prototype tool called the "Socket Screw Extractor (Neji Mogura)," along with instructional videos of "A Trick". The customer attempted the task himself...

The customer successfully rescued the screw using "A Trick" suggested with the Socket Screw Extractor! He also sent us pictures to confirm the achievement. We appreciate his cooperation and thank them for the update.

2023.10.10 [Screw Rescue Report] Motorcycle

This report documents a Screw Rescue operation for a customer in Oita City, Kyushu, Japan.

★ Issue Description:

"The stainless screw holding the handlebar post of the motorcycle broke and couldn't be removed due to corrosion on the aluminum base, causing it to be stuck."

★ Work Log:

Utilizing Screw Removal Pliers. etc, we successfully removed the broken screw and re-tapped new threads.

Due to complete seizing, the broken screw required special treatment. We used our company's Auto Punch (Part Number: TZ-14) to create a center hole, followed by drilling and tapping using a Ratchet Drive (Part Number: DZ-50). This allowed us to reattach and restore the handlebar.

★ Customer Appreciation:

"We appreciate the removal assistance. It was a part that had been discontinued, so this was a great help."

We also received a heartwarming story from the customer, who mentioned that they learned about Screw Rescue after watching the TV show "Setagaya Base," hosted by the famous Japanese personality Tokoro George. Thank you very much!
