2023.10.02 [Screw Rescue Report] Dyson Vacuum Screw

This report documents a Screw Rescue operation conducted for a customer in Ōgawamachi, Saitama Prefecture, in the Kanto region of Japan.

★ Issue Description

The customer attempted to change the vacuum cleaner's battery after three years, and while trying to remove the last three screws, it became stripped. The other two screws were successfully removed, but in the process of attempting to loosen the last one, it was damaged beyond repair. Despite using a screw extraction solution, the screw's threads were further damaged, making it impossible to grip due to the shallowness of the grooves.

★ Work Log

The Dyson vacuum cleaner was promptly sent to our company for assistance.

★ Method

The customer expressed a feeling of resignation, saying, "I thought I had no choice but to discard it. Just your assistance would be greatly appreciated." Despite this, with Urus-kun watching over, the Screw Rescue Team initiated an emergency operation. Using a product still in development (not yet publicly available), the screw was successfully extracted.

2023.10.01 [Screw Rescue Report] Door Knob Screw

This report is a record of Screw Rescue from a customer in Kyoto City, Kamigyo-ku, in the Kansai region of Japan.

★ Issue Description

"The screw hole of the door knob has become stripped, making it impossible to turn. Also, the initial tightening was too tight, causing the door to jam."

★ Work Log & Method

Based on the condition of the damaged screw, we determined the appropriate solution. We sent the Socket Screw Extractor DBZ-400 series (So called Neji Mogura), and Screwdriver Handle GT Drive (Part No: DZ-70).

2023.09.30 [Screw Rescue Report] GoPro

This report documents a Screw Rescue action from a customer in Horinouchi, Suginami-ku, Tokyo.

★ Issue Description

"I tried to remove the screws to replace parts on my GoPro HERO11, but the quality of the included screwdriver was poor, and both the screw holes and the screwdriver itself got damaged. I attempted to use tools from another company (a stripped precision screw remover), but it didn't work well and the situation worsened."

★ Work Log & Method

Upon receiving the device, the Screw Rescue Team, with "Urus-kun" watching over, performed an emergency operation.

It appeared that tools from another company had been used, which had exacerbated the problem. However, using a trick with two Super Short Socket Screw Extractors (part numbers: DBZ-310, DBZ-315), we successfully extracted all three screws.

2023.09.29 [Screw Rescue Report] Closet Screw

This report is a record of the Screw Rescue response from a customer in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture.

★ Trouble

"The closet started making squeaky noises, so I tried to remove the upper screw, but it wouldn't budge at all. It's a panhead screw inside a C-type joint rail. I want to fix it myself to avoid the high cost of hiring a professional, but I ended up stripping the screw thread, and I'm at a loss."

★Work Log and Method

After checking the damage to the screw attached to the ceiling, we determined to send a combination toolset consisting of the Socket Scrwe Extractor (Part Number: DBZ-400 series), GT Drive (Part Number: DZ-70), and Screw Catcher (Part Number: DR-19).

2023.09.28 [Screw Rescue Report] Jeep Wrangler

This report is the Screw Rescue Team activities that received SOS from a customer in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture, in the Kansai region of Japan.

★ Trouble

"When installing the doorstep on a Jeep Wrangler JL, the screw holes on the door became damaged and impossible to remove."

★ Work Log

Initially, we suggested lending a prototype Socket Screw Extractor (so-called Neji Mogura). However, due to the anticipated difficulty of the job, it was decided that the customer would visit our office.

★ Method

Under the watchful eye of our company mascot, "Urus-kun," the Screw Rescue Team started an emergency operation. The screws were tightened with considerable torque, and one of them even required rescuing a broken "Mogura." Through the use of the secret tools, we were able to rescue all three screws successfully.

★ Customer's Appreciation

2023.09.27 [Screw Rescue Report] Dyson Vacuum

This report is a record of our Screw Rescue Team's solution for a customer in Osaka, Osaka Prefecture, in the Kansai region of Japan.

Trouble Description:

"I stripped the screws while disassembling my Dyson vacuum:

1: I stripped a screw by myself (1 location).

2: I tried using another company's screw-loosening liquid, but I couldn't remove it.

3: I took it to a Dyson vacuum parts replacement service, and they used a "Perfect Driver" but couldn't remove it.

Is it possible for you to remove it for me?"

The customer confirmed his vacuum model matches our Screw Rescue Team's action records on our website.

Work Log:

We scheduled a visit since the customer is nearby.

Method:

The screw was in a hard-to-reach location, but we successfully rescued it using a combination of the Socket Screw Extractor DBZ-63 (So called Neji Mogura) and  Go-Through Screwdriver Handle DZ-70 (Also so-called GT Drive) 🦖.
