2023.11.22 [Screw Rescue Report] Laptop PC Screw

This report is a Screw Rescue Report from a customer in Asama-cho, Fuchu City, Tokyo.

★Issue Details:

"I have an old laptop PC (TOSHIBA, Dynabook R63/P), and when I tried to remove two screws that were already partially stripped to upgrade the memory, they got completely stripped and became impossible to remove. 2023.11.06 [Screw Rescue Report] Laptop Cover Screw

This report is a record of the Screw Rescue from a customer in Mitaka City, Tokyo.

★ Issue Description

"When trying to open the back cover of the laptop (HP Pavilion) to add the optional parts, the screw got stripped and completely stuck, impossible to turn. I tried making a new groove and tapping it with a driver, but it was no use. Seeking advice. There are three similar screws. Thank you in advance."

"I accidentally stripped the precision screw when trying to remove the SSD from my Mac Book Air. I tried using rubber bands and screw-loosening liquid in the market as I found on the internet, but it didn't work. I'm not sure how to get this screw out."

[2023.09.10 - Screw Rescue Report] Laptop

We received a screw SOS for a laptop from Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, in the Chugoku region of Japan. The message stated, "I was trying to replace the LCD screen on my laptop and ended up stripping the screws. I tried various methods to remove them, but it only made the situation worse, and now I'm stuck. I don't know how to get these screws out."

2023.07.06 [Screw Rescue Report] Laptop

We received an SOS about a stripped screw on a laptop from Hachioji City, Tokyo.

The user attempted to remove the back cover to expand the memory but stripped the screw. He tried various methods to remove the screw, but unfortunately, it only worsened the situation, completely stripping the screw head. Feeling at a loss, he wondered if there was any way to remove the screw.

2023.06.09 [Screw Rescue Report] A stripped screw on the cover of MacBook Pro
