2023.05.25 [Screw Rescue Report] A stripped Torx (R) screw for door striker

Received an SOS for SUCCEED Van (Toyota's Japanese original van) from Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

There are really a lot of rescue requests for door strikers recently. Ladies and gentlemen, please be careful when replacing.

"The Torx (R) screw of the door striker on the back door was rusty, and when I tried to loosen it for replacement, the screw head was already a little bit stripped. (Maybe the previous owner tried to extract it. Hmm...) After spraying CRC-556 and leaving it for a day, I put a rubber band between the screw and the screwdriver bit and tried hitting it with a hammer, but it didn't turn at all and the screw head was completely stropped."

Judging from the images, the rust was pretty severe, so we sent him a rust removal foam spray (Nejisaurus Liquid ZC-29) along with the prototype Neji-saurus Mogra (Socket Screw Extractor) set.

"I was able to extract this Torx (R) screw. Thank you very much! After that, I immediately purchased a foam-type rust remover (ZC-29). It removes the rust very well.

From now on, if you have any problems with screws, go to Screw Rescue Team.

With Neji-saurus Mogura (Socket Screw Extractor), you can remove the screw regardless of the shape of the screw head.

Here's how to do the trick,

Neji-saurus Liquid is recommended for removing rust!

The new all-purpose Nejisaurus GTV PZ-77 is also very popular now.
